my baby is growing up & other random stuff.....

First of all, my baby just took his last bottle and I am VERY VERY sad... :( He's been eating like this for months and we have been down to 1 bottle (the right before bed bottle) for a couple of months and he is weighing about 30 lbs so I figured it was time to let the last bottle go. Claire & Lily also dropped their last bottle at around 11-12 months.

I just got through making homemade bread with Charlie and banana nut bread for breakfast the next few days. The recipe links are on my sidebar and you really need to try these recipes! The bread is the best I have ever eaten and the banana nut bread is sooooo good and I have never seen such a fluffy batter!

Charlie is trying a new medication for his depression. It's an herbal medicine called SAM-e. I cannot take it because of the family history of manic depression (bipolar) (my dad is bipolar) and SAM-e can make you have manic episodes but is good for other types of anxiety and depression so if you are wanting to take something but not medication, maybe this will work for you.

I have been reading over one particular scripture lately: (The Apostle Paul is talking here)

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. (Romans 12:1-2, The Message)

I am really struggling with the "adopting" to your culture thing sometimes! I think all of us struggle with this and as a stay at home, homeschooling Mom, I struggle no less than the working, public school Mom. I find that even at home, things can get tough. I am off of facebook for 2 weeks because I need to do some inner refocusing of my priorities. Blogging can also become a time drain and a draw into culture but I think I may have a handle on blogging for now. Of course, I always must be cautious and careful of how I spend my valuable time!

Also, I have a prayer request...I have been having NUMEROUS migraine headaches lately complete with nausea. I know what is causing them but I am asking you to pray for deliverance and relief!! They are awful and with 3 little children to take care of every day it is especially rough. We missed church this morning because I had been vomiting all night.

Okay, off to bed now before my headache reappears!

~Love,
Julie

I will be praying for your headaches to go away sweetie. I also pray that the medicine will help Charlie. I love you.
