Created to be his help meet (my notes from this wonderful helpful book)...

This book is one of my VERY favorite "marriage" books out there! First off, let me start by saying that I don't agree 100% with everything that Mrs. Pearl says. However, I do agree with most of it! It seems like very strange, out-of-date advice to someone who was raised in this culture of feminism that we live in today. However, I will say from personal experience that her advice is "right on" and much needed in the world we live in.
So, without further ado, an excerpt from the first few pages:
"You do have a choice in how your life plays out. Some of you are fighting your present situation and making no more progress than someone fighting quicksand. You fight your husand and every verbal punch you land leaves a bruise on you as well.
It is time to stop struggling in strife, bitterness , frustration, and disappointment. You are about to read God's plan for a joyful marriage. You are going to learn God's design for a woman, the place of fulfillment as a properly fitted helper. We will discuss what God's word says of a help meet; what she does, what she shouldn't do and the rewards she can expect.
Each day is a decision, each hour a challenge, and each response starts you toward either the quicksands of divorce or the solid ground of being blessed "heirs together of the grace of life." "
We have a lot of ground to cover with this book review and this may take me awhile! I do hope you will join me and that we may grow together as the wives and mothers that God intends for us to be!!!
Until next time,
Love,
~Julie

Awesome my friend.
Looking forward to reading your thoughts on this book. I loved it when I read through it. If I wasn't in the middle of a couple of other books I'd join in and read it again with you. Maybe soon!
