Awesome Chocolate Chip Cookies.....

*The cookies are really good but the cookie dough is just amazing!!

¾ cup butter
½ cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ¼ cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
1&1/2 (I just use 1) cups chocolate chips

Combine butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; add and mix well. Add chocolate chips. Roll into 24 balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for (the recipe says 20-25 minutes but I baked mine for about 18. when I baked them for 20-22 they were too hard and 25 was just rock hard and awful but 18 was just about perfect!) Oven temps vary, so maybe that's why! Cool for 3 minutes on cookie sheets and then transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
